Sign is located on Route 5 Westbound lane on Hamburg side of 18 Mile Creek.
ETU is responsible for Rout 5 from 18 Mile Creek to Wisconsin Road.

On July 17th, 2010, members of Evans Taxpayers United conducted its first cleanup after being accepted into the NYS Adopt-A-Highway program. On a hot summer day, ETU members cleaned Route 5 from 18 MIle Creek to Wisconsin Road. Below are a few photos of the cleanup.
At the Veteran’s Day service at the Derby Veteran’s Park, in a conversation with Evans Taxpayers United Co-Chairman Ernie Waddell, Fran Pordum called Waddell a puppet.
Voters got tired of Pordum’s act and voted not to return him to the State Assembly.
Next, voters got tired of Pordum’s act and voted not to return him to the Erie County Legislature.
Now many Evans voters are tired of Pordum’s act and can’t wait to vote him back into retirement.

At the October 21st, 2009 town board meeting, excluding privilege of the floor, the meeting lasted about 8 minutes. There was little on the agenda. ( To Read Agenda – Click Here ) Fran Pordum owes Evans residents an explanation as to why he did not talk about the $200,000+ deficit budget he has the town running and where the money is coming from to pay the bills over the next two months.
Pordum needs to explain why it’s business as usual in the town hall and why he’s not reducing the town’s spending over the next few months.
Pordum also needs to explain how running such a huge deficit in 2009 does not translate into a tax increase in 2010. Where is all this money coming from? Since the Town of Evans can’t print money like the U.S. government, that only leaves two sources, taxes and borrowing and Pordum isn’t raising taxes.
Pordum promised to run an open government but he has not offered taxpayers one detail about how he will address this budget crisis.
If you want to know how Pordum will pay his salary, medical and pension contributions, just look at the hole in your wallet and your children’s wallet and your grandchildren’s wallet.
